Bangladesh MP murder: ‘Rs 80 crore smuggling booty possible murder motive’

A fallout between Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar and his associate Md Akhtaruzzaman alias Shaheen over proceeds from a gold smuggling racket led to Azim's murder and disposal of his body. The motive behind the cold-blooded murder was a rift that arose when Azim demanded a larger share of the smuggling proceeds, causing Shaheen to plan the murder to take control of the estimated Rs 80 crore booty.
