Bombay HC allows demolition for Mithi river widening project to proceed unhindered

The Bombay High Court allowed ongoing demolition work for widening of the Mithi River in Mumbai to proceed, denying a stay plea by occupants of residential and commercial structures. The HC vacation bench of Justices however granted liberty to a set of petitioners to approach the BMC to reconsider their ineligibility and others already eligible to opt for either alternate accommodation or compensation.
