Bengaluru park’s ‘Pedal Police’ project grinds to halt, but no one knows why

In 2019, Bengaluru city police launched Pedal Police, India's first bicycle policing project at Cubbon Park. The initiative, led by then police commissioner Bhaskar Rao, aimed at sustainable action and community interaction. However, the project was discontinued due to mechanical issues with the bicycles.
