Rahul writes to President over 'discriminatory' Agnipath scheme, urges her to intervene

IndiaTimes Saturday, 1 June 2024
Rahul Gandhi wrote to President Droupadi Murmu against Agnipath scheme, highlighting discrimination in benefits for families of slain Agniveers. “There can be no clearer illustration of the fundamental flaw in Agnipath scheme — the creation of a ‘lesser’ cadre of soldiers who are expected to work on similar tasks with lower pay, benefits and prospects,” Rahul said in the letter.
