1993 Bombay blasts convict beaten to death in Kolhapur jail

A 59-year-old convict in the 1993 Bombay serial blasts case was beaten to death on Sunday in Kolhapur's Kalamba Central Jail. Five inmates were involved in the assault. The prisoner, known as Munna, with aliases Mohammad Alikhan and Manojkumar Bhawarlal Gupta, was attacked near the prisonβs bathing well. He was struck with concrete and metal covers of a drainage chamber at 7:55 am.
