Rajeev Chandrasekhar increases lead over Shashi Tharoor in Thiruvananthapuram LS seat

In Thiruvananthapuram, BJP candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar has taken a lead of over 22,000 votes against Congress' Shashi Tharoor in the Lok Sabha seat. Initially, the contest was close, but by noon, Chandrasekhar secured 1,77,269 votes to Tharoor's 1,54,309. CPI's Pannian Ravindran trails in third with 1,22,258 votes, according to Election Commission figures on Tuesday.
