Bombay HC awards double life term to man for rape, murder attempt

A survivor in Nagpur, who was raped and left to die in a coal mine, participated in court proceedings via video link. The assailant, Mamlesh Chakravarti, a truck cleaner, received a double life sentence in Aug 2018.
