While the word around the corridors of power suggest that the allies will demand the Speaker post to insulate themselves from defections and splits in the fure future, there’s also word that Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP might raise their demands for a Special Category Status again. Incidentally, Jairam Ramesh, Congress General Secretary, had said it would grant Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh as promised by former PM Manmohan Singh.
