Blow to Karnataka govt, minister resigns over Rs 90 crore scam

Karnataka's sports, youth services, and ST welfare minister, B Nagendra, resigned on Thursday. His resignation comes amid allegations of a Rs 90-crore fraud involving the Valmiki welfare board, which falls under his department. B Nagendra, a four-time MLA from Ballari Rural, is the first minister to step down from the one-year-old Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.
