Lok Sabha results 2024: 54% of Maharashtra’s new MPs are Maratha while 19% are OBC

26 Maratha, 9 OBC, 6 scheduled castes, 4 scheduled tribes, and 3 open category MPs elected in Maharashtra. Varsha Gaikwad, a Congress winner, from Mumbai North Central, belongs to a scheduled caste but won from the open category. Maha Vikas Aghadi won 8 out of 9 reserved seats for scheduled castes and tribes.
