Bypolls to 10 assembly seats in West Bengal likely to be held by year-end

At least 10 assembly segments in West Bengal are set for upcoming bypolls due to vacancies left by MLAs winning Lok Sabha polls. The Election Commission must conduct elections within six months of vacancy occurrence. The scheduled state assembly polls in West Bengal for all 292 seats are scheduled for 2026 upon the expiry of the government's current term.
