IndiGo plane hits runway even as Air India aircraft was taking off; DGCA orders probe

IndiaTimes Sunday, 9 June 2024
An IndiGo aircraft landed on the runway while an Air India flight was taking off, narrowly breaching safety margins. At the busy Mumbai airport, standard procedure requires that the departing aircraft must lift off and clear the end of the runway before the landing aircraft can cross the runway threshold and touch down.
