PM Modi takes charge: Release of 'Kisan Nidhi' fund is first decision in 3rd term

Just hours after being sworn in for a historic third term at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his duties on Monday. His first action was to sign a file related to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The action authorises the release of the 17th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi. The move is set to benefit 9.3 crore farmers with a disbursement of approximately Rs 20,000 crores.
