N Chandrababu Naidu, the newly elected chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, announced that Amaravati will serve as the sole capital of the state. He also outlined plans to transform Visakhapatnam into an economic hub and establish Kurnool as the state's premier seed production center. Following his unanimous election as the leader of the NDA in the Andhra Pradesh assembly, Naidu pledged that his government would not engage in retaliatory politics
