SKM protests allocation of Union ministry of agriculture to Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Wednesday, 12 June 2024 The Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has protested the decision of the NDA government to allocate the Union ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to Shivraj Singh Chouhan, under whose government six farmers were killed at Mandasaur in Madhya Pradesh on June 6, 2017.
Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya felicitated six Indian shooters, including bronze medalist Sarabjot Singh, following their impressive performance at the Paris Olympics. The ceremony highlighted the success of government initiatives like Khelo India and the Target Olympic Podium Scheme in nurturing talent. Mandaviya emphasized the importance of hard work alongside government support and shared the vision of India becoming a top-5 sports ecosystem by 2047. The shooters praised India's improved sports infrastructure and expressed gratitude for government backing.
