Khandu set for 5th term as BJP finalises him as Arunachal CM

BJP formalised Pema Khandu as the Arunachal Pradesh's 18th CM after leading the party to an electoral landslide. Khandu, the youngest CM at 44, thanked PM Modi and Nadda for support. This was BJP's second consecutive electoral landslide in the state with 46 seats — 10 of them unopposed — to build on its 2019 tally of 41 and leave Congress clinging to a solitary seat in its erstwhile stronghold of over three decades.
