PIB's fact-check unit claims it 'busted' 12 fake news channels
Thursday, 13 June 2024 () Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau (PIB), under I&B ministry, on Thursday claimed to have "busted" 134 videos from 12 channels for spreading misinformation. The fake news is of diverse nature - from claiming "dismissal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi" to all Aadhaar card holders getting free sewing machines under the PM Viswamitra scheme.
Russia has sent its first coal shipments to India via the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), a 7,200km multimodal route connecting St. Petersburg to Mumbai. This move aims to bypass Western sanctions and reduce shipping times.
