Gujarat HC stays Netflix release of ‘Maharaj’ starring Amir Khan’s son

IndiaTimes Thursday, 13 June 2024 ()
The Gujarat High Court has restrained Netflix from releasing the movie 'Maharaj' featuring Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, due to objections raised by the Pushtimarg sect. Members of the sect allege that the film is based on the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862 and could incite violence against their religious group and Hinduism.
