Unicef: India among 20 nations with ‘severe child food poverty’

Unicef's 'Child Nutrition Report 2024' reveals 181 million children under 5 in severe food poverty globally. India, China, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan account for 65%. Severe food poverty affects 1 in 4 children worldwide, with India at 40%. Poor diets, inadequate feeding practices, and household poverty drive this crisis, impacting both poor and non-poor households.
