Ex-Union minister Suryakanta Patil resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, dealing another blow to the party following unexpected results in the Maharashtra Lok Sabha election. In her resignation letter, Patil explained her reasons for leaving the party. "I tried to seek personal appointment with state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, but could not get an appointment," she stated.
