Trekker from Meerut dies in Uttarakhand, body retrieved after 12-hour operation

Omender Singh, a trekker from Meerut, tragically fell to his death while descending the Rudranath trek in Rudraprayag district. The challenging 20-km trek is known for its steep paths. Despite adverse weather conditions, a state disaster response force team successfully recovered Singh's body after a 12-hour search in the jungle. The rescue team faced difficulties due to rain-soaked and slippery terrain, but managed to build a temporary stretcher to carry the body to safety. A somber reminder of the risks involved in adventurous activities.
