'Bold letter, bigger font': Check out food safety body's new labelling rules
Saturday, 6 July 2024 () The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has approved changes to the nutritional information labeling on packaged food items during its 44th meeting, chaired by Apurva Chandra. The amendments to the Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2020 will require total salt, sugar, and saturated fat content to be displayed in bold letters and larger font sizes on food product labels.
