DNA: Brain-Eating Amoeba Claims Lives of Children in Kerala

In Kerala, a rare and deadly brain infection caused by the brain-eating amoeba, Naegleria fowleri, has emerged, resulting in the deaths of several children. The infection, known as amoebic meningoencephalitis, is contracted through contaminated water and attacks the brain tissue. Since May, four cases have been reported, with three fatalities.
