Thursday, 18 July 2024 () Northern Kerala, especially Wayanad, experienced heavy to extremely heavy rain leading to floods, landslides, and property damage. 700 residents were displaced to 22 camps, with 29 houses damaged. The IMD issued red alerts for Wayanad and Kannur and alerts for surrounding districts. Waterlogged roads and rising river levels affected Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod.
