Extortion case against 3 Delhi cops; 1 sacked for rape bid
Wednesday, 24 July 2024 () Three Delhi Police officers faced allegations of extorting Rs 19 lakh from a BBA student, Sushan, by threatening to implicate him in a fraud. The officers involved were identified as Brijesh Redhu, Satish Kumar, and Anil Yadav. In another incident, a constable from central Delhi was dismissed from service for allegedly attempting to rape a trainee cop while intoxicated. Both incidents have raised concerns about misconduct within the Delhi Police.
