Woman gets Rs 7 crore plot for Rs 4L after 3-decade court battle

A three-decade court battle over a plot in Ghaziabad concluded with the Supreme Court ruling in favor of Lata Jain, who booked the land in 1988. The Ghaziabad Development Authority must now allot her a 500 sq. meter plot at the 1988 market rate, valued at Rs 7 crore today, and pay Rs 1 lakh compensation.
