They argued that public funds should not unfairly benefit certain individuals or companies, citing potential traffic and noise issues, especially near hospitals. Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin refuted these allegations, stating that the event had more sponsors than expected. The party stressed that using public funds for this private event goes against Article 14 of the Constitution, emphasizing the need for fair and transparent use of public money.
