Isro's high-resolution satellite images show 86,000 sqm of land slipped away in Wayanad disaster

IndiaTimes Thursday, 1 August 2024
Satellite images captured by Isro’s NRSC revealed substantial landslide damage in Kerala’s Wayanad district. Approximately 86,000 square metres of land slipped into the Iruvanjippuzha river, causing debris to travel 8km, damaging towns and settlements. The analysis indicates the area’s known vulnerability to landslides, previously documented in Isro’s Landslide Atlas of India.
