An advocate known for representing celebrities, Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, was granted bail after being arrested on allegations of raping a 29-year-old woman in Navi Mumbai. His lawyer argued against an extension of custody, stating the arrest was illegal as the 'grounds of arrest' were not provided in writing. The police orally informed Deshmukh of the reasons.
