IAF deploys Chinook, MI-17 for Kedarnath rescue operation; 1.5k stranded

IAF helicopters participated in the rescue operations in Uttarakhand, evacuating around 1,500 pilgrims stranded due to rain and landslides. As of Friday, approximately 10,460 people had been rescued. The Kedarnath shrine is still inaccessible, and the death toll has risen to 17.
