Heavy rain likely at Mumbai, Thane and Palghar today: IMD

Mumbai and surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall over the weekend, with Thane recording significant amounts. An IMD yellow alert was issued for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar for Monday. Santacruz and Colaba observatories recorded 96.8mm and 57mm rainfall, respectively, while Thane received 144mm. Temperatures remained slightly below normal despite the wet weekend.
