CID to probe death of cop after wife’s plaint against Karnataka Congress MLA

The Karnataka government handed over the investigation into sub-inspector Parashurama's death to the CID after his wife accused a Congress MLA and his son of abetment to suicide. The state promised a job and financial assistance to Parashurama's widow. Opposition leader R Ashoka criticized the ruling party, alleging corruption and targeting of Dalits.
