UP govt to build a new township in Ghaziabad, names it Harnandipuram

The UP government planned to build a new township, 'Harnandipuram', on 1,300 acres in Ghaziabad to manage the growing population. This project, the first in 15 years, will be partly near the Hindon River. The land acquisition is estimated to cost Rs 5,000 crore, shared between the government and GDA.
