IIT-Indore develops shoes with GPS for army

The Indian Institute of Technology in Indore developed real-time tracking shoes with RFID and GPS trackers for military personnel. The shoes harness energy from steps to power the devices. IIT Indore delivered 10 pairs to the Defence Research and Development Organization. These shoes can also track Alzheimer’s patients, school children, industrial workers, and athletes.
