Mandir-masjid row: ASI says Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha temple is a mosque

The Vijay Surya Mandir in Vidisha, managed by the ASI, became contentious when Hindu groups were denied permission to perform rituals inside. The site, resembling the new Parliament building, was labeled a mosque in a 1951 notification. Hindu groups disputed this, highlighting its long history as a Hindu worship site since 1972.
