IMD forecasts reduced monsoon activity across Maharashtra till August 15

The recent reduction in rainfall intensity across Maharashtra, including Pune, was not a monsoon lull but a decrease in activity, according to Medha Khole of IMD-Pune. Despite this, most districts recorded excess or normal rainfall, except Hingoli. The excessive rainfall in Pune, Satara, and Kolhapur was due to an active monsoon in July.
