Kolkata doctor rape-murder: RG Kar principal Sandip Ghosh resigns in morning, rehabilitated at CNMC by evening
Monday, 12 August 2024 () Sandip Ghosh, principal of RG Kar Medical College, resigned following allegations of covering up a rape-murder case and was quickly reassigned as principal of Calcutta National Medical College. The health department's decision sparked protests and demands for his removal from any administrative role. Former vice-chancellor Suhrita Paul was appointed in his place at RG Kar.
