IMD issues rain alert for Kerala's Wayanad, says floods likely

Kerala's Wayanad district, recently affected by severe landslides on July 30, faced another warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall and potential flash floods on Thursday. The IMD issued an 'orange' alert predicting significant rainfall for Kozhikode and Wayanad. A similar alert had been issued before the previous landslides on July 29.
