Fake IPS officers now target retired executive in Mumbai, leave him poorer by Rs 20 lakh

An 81-year-old retired vice president fell victim to cyber fraud, losing Rs 20 lakh to imposters posing as Enforcement Directorate officers. They falsely claimed his Aadhaar card was linked to money laundering and drug smuggling. The Central Cyber Cell registered a cheating and impersonation case. The victim realized the con after transferring the money.
