Provided ‘technical assistance’ to Bihar madrassas, says Unicef

The Bihar branch of UNICEF admitted on Monday to providing technical assistance to improve government-recognized madrassas at the request of the state government. NCPCR chairman Priyank Kanoongo raised concerns about the use of Pakistan-published books and the enrollment of Hindu children in such schools, urging an investigation and the dissolution of the Madrassa Board.
