On August 29, 2024, Blue Origin successfully conducted its 26th New Shepard mission (NS-26) from its launch site in West Texas. This flight marked another significant achievement for the space company led by Jeff Bezos, further advancing its space tourism ambitions. The mission carried six passengers, including Rob Ferl, a NASA-funded researcher, marking the first time a NASA-supported scientist flew on a commercial suborbital rocket.
