On escape bid to Tripura, minor Bangladesh Hindu girl ‘shot dead by BGB’

A 16-year-old Hindu girl from Bangladesh was fatally shot by Border Guard Bangladesh while attempting to cross into Tripura with her parents. The family had been facing issues in their home country and made multiple attempts to escape. Her body was found near the India-Bangladesh border and later handed over to her family.
