The National Board for Wildlife has given the green light to the Goa-Tamnar Transmission Project, which traverses Karnataka's dense forests and Kali Tiger Reserve. Although Karnataka initially rejected it due to environmental concerns, PM Modi's intervention has led to a re-evaluation. Conservationists in both states are still opposing the project.
