AAP govt rolls back Cong govt’s Rs 3/unit cut in domestic power tariff

The Punjab cabinet has withdrawn the Rs 3-per-unit power tariff reduction for domestic consumers announced by former CM Charanjit Singh Channi. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema indicated that this measure would increase state revenue, while retaining the scheme of providing 300 units of free electricity per month to domestic users, benefiting a majority of them.
