21 cities achieve target of 40% PM10 cut 2 years before deadline

Twenty-one cities, including Greater Mumbai and Varanasi, have cut PM10 levels by over 40% from 2017-18 to 2023-24 but still fail to meet national air quality standards. The National Clean Air Programme aims for a similar reduction by 2025-26. Significant funds are being allocated to improve air quality in these cities.
