BJP assigns key responsibilities to J&K leaders denied poll tickets, seeks to quell dissent

In response to internal dissent over ticket distribution for the J&K assembly polls, BJP's high command has given important roles to senior leaders left out of the candidate list. Sat Sharma is now working president, and Nirmal Singh chairs the campaign committee. The party focuses on winning seats in Jammu's Hindu-dominated regions.
