3 attempts to derail trains in past one week, says Railways

The railway ministry is concerned about recent attempts to derail trains and stone pelting incidents. A train collision with a cooking cylinder in Kanpur was narrowly avoided, indicating criminal intent. Since June last year, there have been 17 similar incidents, prompting increased vigilance on sensitive tracks to prevent mishaps.
