End of Madras Race Club? TN cancels 1946 land lease deed

The Tamil Nadu government has terminated a colonial-era lease from 1946 that granted the Madras Race Club 160 acres in Guindy for 99 years. The land will be repurposed for public utilities and open spaces. The club has been given 14 days to remove movable properties, with legal proceedings ongoing.
