Union minister Kiren Rijiju rebuked Islamic preacher Zakir Naik for his social media post urging Indian Muslims to reject the Waqf Amendment Bill. Rijiju accused Naik of spreading false propaganda and warned him against misleading people from abroad. The bill, aimed at reforming Waqf property management, is under review by a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
