Ten of the total 14 districts in Kerala are among the 30 most landslide-prone districts in the country, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) noted in its 2023 report, raising​ alarm over the increasing vulnerability of the Western Ghats. But it ​has not slowed down the pace of development in the sensitive region, setting it up for one disaster after another, experts say.
